In-Person Class Description
For people who claim they can't draw a stick figure and seasoned artists who want to sharpen their skills and talk about their work. Your first lessons will walk you through fundamental principles by painting a few different prescribed subjects. After that, you can have as much or as little independence as you want. Students who stick with it end up making fabulous work. See for yourself. ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.
Testimonial
“As a long-time participant on one of Dori DeCamillis’ drawing classes at Red Dot Gallery, I recommend it highly for anyone even remotely thinking of working in the medium. I was a true beginner when I started classes and was at first concerned that I would be surrounded by more experienced artists, whether amateur or not. But in fact Dori has the great skill of adapting to and encouraging people at every level without making anyone feel self-conscious. And she is especially good at knowing what “the next step” is for someone. She knows when to add a corrective suggestion and when to let you explore on your own. Beyond that, Dori is herself not only an original and accomplished painter but someone with an infectiously positive personality. She therefore makes being in her class a complete delight even as you expand and grow, as I definitely did, in the joy of artistic creation.
